Jack Neo’s recent comedy-horror’s “Where Got Ghost”, with their most famous family featuring in the last story. They have got three story, each with a moral value to learn. LOL.
First story is that there are ghost on the street sides. As everyone knows on the 7th month, Chinese likes to pray for their ancestors as well as the hungry ghost. The 7th month is also called the hungry ghost festival. Well, will not say much about the storyline. But this storyline wasn’t that good, it was just eating the oranges of a ghost, so the ghost pester him. The moral value was something about not being too greedy as a person!
I kind of liked the part when the car came crashing down. Cause we expected that he would get hit by a car, but didn’t know it would be so unexpected to hit him from the top. The hokkien parts was hilarious nonetheless, the usual style of Jack Neo. I do not understand hokkien so i gotta read the subtitle in order to laugh!LOL
The second story was the army story that showed that there are ghost in the forest. They are not suppose to take any short cuts but the did. Whoever that take short cuts will get to meet the ghost. HAHA! But I like the part when they went to do their big business then they saw the ghost, that was so hilarious, not scary at all since I know it’s using the effects like blue screen. HAHA
The moral value for this story is not to take shortcuts in life as you have to pay for every shortcut that you take. ^^ This line has a lot of depth to it, because it’s not literally only.
The last story was the famous family that features in most of the other Jack Neo’s films. I felt the part when the mother went to haunt the family members with her famous lines, really really hilarious. Especially the first one with Mark Lee : “Where is my red colour bra? With mickey mouse on it.”, obviously you must watch all the previous film done by Jack Neo in order to understand it and find it funny.
This moral value was that health and safety is the most important, as they kept asking their mother for money. However, she protected them when there was a landslide that happened in front of their eyes. She appeared in front of them.
Quite a funny yet horrible show to watch. 3/5 stars i would give =)
